Abstract
This study was carried out to obtain basic information for field growth characteristics and the potential bulb productivity of in vitro Multi-shoot of garlic in the field. The results were summarized as follows;
Plantlet with the 70 days in vitro culture periods transplanted on September 25 was highest among the treatments in terms of sprouting rate and regenerated shoots per plantlet, whereas with the 30 days culture period was lowest. Bulbing ratio and number of harvested bulbs per plantlet with the 70 days culture were 52.3% and 6.6, respectively. These values were significantly higher than those of 30 days.
In the field test of the bulb harvested from in vitro Multi-shoot in pots cultured, the bigger bulb size, the better sprouting rate, plant height, clove rate, bolting rate and yield.
